St. Mark's is one of the oldest churches in Medicine Lodge. The original congregation began meeting in people's homes in the 1880s. Our church building was moved to its present site in 1909. Following a fire in 1967, it was remodeled and enlarged.
St. Mark's is a member of the North Barber County Ministerial Association and participates in its various activities and programs. Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday morning. Communion is open to anyone who wishes to receive it.
Our worship services are uplifting, taking the best from both Catholic and Protestant traditions, a we share a common joy in worshipping the Lord the company of good friends and family.
We believe worship should really be joyful, that the Gospel really is good news, and that a church family really is a family. Our congregation is not large in numbers, but it is large in love and spirit. If you are looking for a church family where Jesus is Lord and the Gospel is relevant to your life, where people with widely differing backgrounds and philosophies can sit down and worship together, where you don't have to check your brain at the door and where all questions are welcomed and explored together, then come and visit St. Mark's.
